EMPORIA – Girl Scouts are “Taking AIM” and discovering all there is to archery, and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to join and learn all there is to Girl Scouts during this fun event. Join us from 2-4 p.m. on Sun., Sept. 10 at the Girl Scout’s Camp Double E (located on the edge of town at 794 Rd 200, Emporia, KS 66801) for our free archery event, Taking AIM.
There are a variety of style and sizes of bows and arrows, but they’re all used for one purpose: to hit a target. Girl Scouts both present and future will take aim in learning how to shoot a bow and arrow or practice getting better and making the best shot. Archery is not permitted for kindergarten and first graders; however, they will practice other aiming games.
If you are unable to attend and would like to know more about Girl Scouts, you can go to kansasgirlscouts.org, call 888-686-MINT (6468) or email info@gskh.org.
