At Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland camps, girls build their leadership skills, develop lifelong friendships, and challenge themselves to try new things — all while being supported by a team of trained staff members and leaders.

To book your own volunteer-led activities, use our property reservation system. Troops and service units can hold recurring meetings, plan a campout or host a large-scale event.

Troops and service units can reserve a camp property or meeting space for any adventure.

RESERVATIONS

Weekend Camp Property Reservations toggle arrow

At least one volunteer with the group must be certified in First Aid & CPR and trained in Outdoor Camping skills. Additional certifications may be required for specialized activities. Upcoming trainings can be found here.

Trained facilitators are required for the team-building course, archery and waterfront. See Safety Activity Checkpoints for requirements. Facilitators are not provided by council staff. Team-Building Course training is available each year at IGNITE, Archery and Small Craft Safety training are available a couple times a year and local vendors may provide lifeguard training. You can also network with volunteers in your service unit to "borrow" a facilitator for your activities.

Weekend camp reservations are available on a rolling calendar year, 365 days in advance.

If you need to cancel your reservation, notify the council at info@gskh.org. A refund will be made to the User only if notice of cancellation is received at least three weeks prior to the beginning of the booking.

Meeting Space Reservations toggle arrow

Training in First Aid & CPR is recommended for meeting space reservations, but not required.

Meeting space reservations are available on April 1 for the following school year, August through July.

If you need to cancel your reservation, notify the council at info@gskh.org. A refund will be made to the User only if notice of cancellation is received at least three weeks prior to the beginning of the booking.

Non-Member Property Reservations toggle arrow

Some of our properties can be reserved for non-Girl Scout purposes such as weddings, family reunions, and corporate retreats. Please note that the prices in CheckFront are greatly subsidized to provide affordable Girl Scout experiences to troops and service units.
