Festival of Giving, which occurs annually, gives Girl Scouts an opportunity to make a difference in their community. More than 500 Girl Scouts participate each year in the Festival of Giving season, providing needed items for numerous social service organizations.
As part of our centennial celebration, Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland is committed to 100 acts of service across the state through Festival of Giving. We're aiming to document 100 acts of service — that's 100 ways of giving back to our communities — completed by Girl Scouts in the month of November.
Members can participate as individuals, with their families, as a troop or join forces with the troops in their service unit. Every Girl Scout youth who participates will receive a special Festival of Giving patch.
There is still time to select an agency to benefit. Talk with your service unit, troop or fellow Girl Scouts and submit your agency here.
