WICHITA – There’s a chill in the air, the woods are dark and surrounding and the Starwoods Girl Scout Center is scarier than ever.
An annual classic is back and bringing scary fun to families throughout the Wichita area with Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland. The public is invited for the spooky festivities of Haunted Stroll at Starwoods Girl Scout Center, 7800 S. 103rd St West, Clearwater, Kan. on Oct. 21 from 7-10 p.m.
If you’re excited to introduce your family to spooky festivities, but not ready for a full-blown, chainsaw nightmare, the Boo Bash Trail at Haunted Stroll is just for you. On the one-mile nature trail, patrons will have the chance to explore the spooky grounds of Starwoods as they walk through an hour-long haunt full of monsters and ghouls, artfully decorated scare scenes, and frightening special effects. There will still be hair-raising moments, so these spooky hours are recommended for fourth grade children and older.
Tickets are $12 per person through Oct. 16 or can be purchased at the door for $15 (must bring cash). Costumes are encouraged and hot beverages and popcorn are included while supplies last.
All proceeds benefit Kansas Girl Scouts. For more information, go to kansasgirlscouts.org.
