What is a Juliette?

A Juliette is an individual girl member who is not affiliated with a Girl Scout troop, or any girl who signs up to be a Girl Scout without the commitment of joining a troop. There are many reasons to be a Juliette, and there are TONS of ways for Juliettes to participate in Girl Scouts!

The Juliette program is designed to meet the busy lifestyle of today’s girls. Any girl in grades K-12 can choose to participate as a Juliette. Girls might become Juliettes because the troop program doesn’t fit in their schedule or interests, or girls may sign up as Juliettes because there is not an available troop in their area (yet!)

Juliettes have the same opportunities for activities that girls in troops have! Juliettes can pick and choose how to participate in Girl Scouts, including Council and Service Unit events, Community Service Projects, Camps, Travel, Series, Journeys, Cookie Sale, and earning the Highest Awards. Check out the Juliette's Guide to Girl Scouts to learn more.

How do Juliettes connect with their local community of Girl Scouts for activities?

Juliettes and parents or advisors can attend volunteer-led events and meetings throughout the year. You can be assigned to a Girl Scout Service Unit in your community. To connect with your local community of Girl Scouts, just email info@gskh.org or call 888-686-6468 with the following information: county, school, and zip code. We will connect you with your local Girl Scouts, so you don’t miss a thing! The Volunteer Connect newsletter can also keep you updated on upcoming council events, trainings, and more that may help you achieve your goals as a Juliette. Parents and advisors of Juliette Girl Scouts, in a way, are acting as volunteers.
