What would Halloween be without that traditional trip to the pumpkin patch to pick out that perfect pumpkin?
Girl Scout Troop 901, along with leader Tracy Crockett visited Sunny Side Pumpkin Patch for their "4th Annual Girl Scout Troop Trip to the Pumpkin Patch" There, the girls learned about the different kinds of pumpkins that are grown at the pumpkin patch. They were amazed by the many different kinds of pumpkins!
After that, the girls got to participate in the many activities that were available at the Pumpkin Patch. They slid down the "Sunny Side Slide"; a gigantic slipper slide built using hay bales and plastic. Some of the girls enjoyed riding the go carts. Even Tracy gave the go carts a try!
The girls had a blast picking out their pumpkins, going through the corn maze, and posing for pictures with by the witty photo opportunity displays. There were also animals for the girls to pet and a four-hole pumpkin putt-putt golf course.
The girls got to take their pumpkins home with them to carve for Halloween and they are looking forward to going back next year for the fall festivities!
