The Salina Girl Scouts kicked off the year by skating to their favorite hits at the Starlight Skating Rink on Sept. 24, 2009. The girls played games, met new friends and challenged themselves to contests for prizes. Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors and adult volunteers enjoyed the fun and friendship at this popular annual event. Area Girl Scout troops from surrounding towns traveled to Salina to be a part of the festivities. After the girls skated, they snacked on hot dogs and soda from the concession stand and visited with friends, new and old. Click here to see more photos from the skating party.
