The Salina office put on quite an extravaganza for the girls in August at the annual Sign Up for Scouting event which was held at the Bi-Centennial Center.
The Girl Scouts in the Salina area partnered with the Boy Scouts to organize the event. The excited girls and boys got to jump in inflatable moonwalks, sit in fire trucks, watch clowns make balloons and even get a crash course in bicycle safety.
In Great Bend, prospective Scouts got to participate in similar fun activities including inflatable bouncers and games. There were even booths from Wetlands Educational Center, Health Rocks and the Fire Department. Other Sign Up events took place in area schools and at Back to School Fairs.
