The Hutchinson Region of Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland is dedicated to serving members in the following counties: Stafford, Rice, Reno, Pratt, Pawnee, McPherson, Kiowa, Kingman, Harper, Edwards, Comanche and Barber. The Hutchinson office will be open on a limited basis during the cookie season (Jan. 4- March 31) and is located at 111 N. Walnut, Suite A. After March 31, the office will be closed.

Hutchinson Girl Scout Office to Close in March |

In an effort to better allocate resources, the Hutchinson office of the Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland council will close December 23, 2009. The office, located at 111 N. Walnut, Suite A, will retain current hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday) until that time.

Hutchinson Area Girls Create Delicious Delights |

Girl Scouts in the Hutchinson area created delicious delights at Cooking Creations, an event where girls worked together to learn basic skills for creating healthy meals, used their imaginations to design culinary creations and discovered how to read recipes, measure ingredients, and were educated on the importance of health and safety precautions in the kitchen.

Hutchinson Girls Get Glamoured Up With Their Moms |

Girl Scouts and their moms got all glamoured up at the "Mommy and Me, All Glamoured Up" overnight event at the First Presbyterian Church in Hutchinson, Oct. 16 and 17. There the girls enjoyed time with just their mothers and participated in a variety of activities designed to bring them closer. They had fun making bracelets, body glitter, lip gloss and bath salts.

Macksville Girls Help Out Local Family Through Pumpkin Sale |

Halloween is a fun time for Girl Scouts to enjoy the different events and activities that are planned around the holiday. The Macksville Girl Scouts decided they would take the opportunity to help out a family in their community who had recently lost all of their possessions in a house fire by selling pumpkins at a home high school football game and donating the money to the family so that they could replace some of the items they had lost.
