  • The Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland will hold its annual cookie sale Jan. 16 through March 7, 2010. Eight varieties of cookies are available for $3.50 per box, and are sold on an "order now, pay later" basis, giving customers the convenience of paying for their cookies at the time of delivery.

For more than 90 years, the Girl Scout Cookie Program has helped girls foster a sense of personal and collective empowerment by promoting skills they will use throughout their entire lives. Through this annual activity, girls learn how to set goals, develop action plans to reach those goals, work together as a team and cultivate a sense of business ethics.

Notice: Lemon Chalet Cremes PDF Print E-mail

We want to reassure our customers that the recent recall of Lemon Chalet Crèmes does NOT affect the Girl Scout Cookies offered by Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland, the Lemonades.

"ABC Bakers would like to clarify that our Lemonades are not affected by the recent problems with Lemon Chalet Crèmes... We regularly test our cookies, and we have not detected any evidence of oil rancidity in our Lemonades. Given the inherent stability of the oils we have chosen for our formulations, we do not expect to experience any issues..."

-Sincerely, Mary Alice Callaway, Vice President, ABC Bakers

Marketing Girl Scout Cookies Online PDF Print E-mail
This is the first year girls are allowed to market Girl Scout Cookies online, which is a wonderful thing. Please read this "411 on Online Product Marketing" to help with any confusion about selling online and marketing online. We need your help to continue to interpret the Internet Sales policy and hope you can use these tips to provide girls, parents, volunteers, and our customers a better understanding about the online marketing of Girl Scout Cookies.

Cookie Credits 411 PDF Print E-mail
If your girl(s) sold at least 30 boxes of cookies during the 2010 Spring Cookie Sale, then she has Cookie Credits to spend! Cookie credits will be applied to family accounts April 1, 2010, and can be used for council events, Summer Camp, and purchases in the council shop.

Cookie credits can be transferred to Troop accounts for troop-reserved council events or to council shops by completing the "Cookie Credit Transfer Form", available in the back of the 2010 Summer Camp guide or online by clicking the "forms" tab at www.kansasgirlscouts.org (online form not available until April 1, 2010).

Remember, cookie credits will expire on November 15, 2010, so please make sure the girls use their credits before then! Additional information regarding cookie credits can be found on page 49 of your 2010 Summer Camp Guide, and in the Family Guide & Order Sheet for the cookie sale. If you have questions, please contact your regional Girl Scout office.
