Calling All Gold Award Recipients: Share Your Story!

One of the most impactful parts of Girl Scouts is earning the Girl Scout Gold Award — the highest achievement a Girl Scout can earn. The Gold Award challenges high-school girls to initiate meaningful and sustainable change locally, nationally, and/or globally through unique “Take Action” projects of their own creation.

2016 marks the Gold Award Centennial, and we are encouraging all Girl Scout alumnae who have earned the Gold Award (previously known as the Golden Eagle of Merit, Golden Eaglet, Curved Bar and First Class) to be part of the upcoming Girl Scout Gold Award Alliance Directory!

  • To submit your story for inclusion in the directory, call Girl Scouts’ publication partner Harris Connect toll-free at 1-866-770-3079 (Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. CST). Gold Award recipients do not have to purchase a book to have their information included or listed.

You can also share your story with Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland; we’d love to reconnect with and share stories from our Girl Scout alumnae who have achieved this incredible honor. Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland is proud to have honored nine girls in the 2014-15 Girl Scout class who successfully earned their Gold Award. Many more will be actively pursuing their Gold Award this year, and we cannot wait to see what these girls accomplish!
