The year 2016 marks the Gold Award Centennial, and at this year's Annual Meeting, Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland will be honoring Girl Scouts who have achieved this incredible honor (also known as the Golden Eagle of Merit, Golden Eaglet, Curved Bar, and First Class over the years). The recognition luncheon will also honor our dedicated volunteers.
After enjoying a meal at no charge, all attendees will be able to
enjoy the gardens at Botanica following the recognition luncheon and
meeting. Enjoy one of the Midwest's natural treasures as you explore
more than two dozen gardens and attractions within Botanica Gardens.

Want to play a key role in our council’s governance? Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland offers leadership opportunities every year during our Annual Meeting.
All registered Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland members ages 14 and up can serve as voting members in our annual business meeting, which needs at least 100 voting members to convene. Every vote counts! This leadership opportunity is also a chance for older girls to earn credit for the Honor Troop program.
Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland convenes an Annual Meeting to conduct the business of the council and report to the membership. Business conducted at the annual meeting may include election of officers, members-at-large, members of the Board Development Committee, and delegates and alternates to the National Council. Proposed amendments to the bylaws may be considered and any other business or key issues may also be discussed. Reports to the membership may include a State of the Council address and Treasurer’s Report.
