During our Recognition Breakfast and Annual Meeting, not only will we be celebrating our dedicated volunteers and our Girl Scout Gold Award recipients, we'll also be celebrating 100 years of Girl Scouting in Kansas! Attendees will enjoy a breakfast at no charge and also have the opportunity to serve as a voting member. Members can register for this event on UltraCamp beginning March 7.
All registered Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland members ages 14 and up can serve as voting members in our annual business meeting, which needs at least 100 voting members to convene. Every vote counts! This leadership opportunity is also a chance for older girls to earn credit for the Honor Troop program.
Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland convenes an Annual Meeting to conduct the business of the council and report to the membership. Business conducted at the annual meeting may include election of officers, members-at-large, members of the Board Development Committee, and delegates and alternates to the National Council. Proposed amendments to the bylaws may be considered and any other business or key issues may also be discussed. Reports to the membership may include a State of the Council address and Treasurer’s Report.
