In keeping with the century-old tradition of encouraging girls to be active outdoors, Girl Scouts is rolling out the new Girls' Choice Outdoor badges this year, and the badge materials and guidelines are available online for the first time ever.

Council places second in national recycling challenge

Kansas Girl Scouts recycled nearly 21,000 pounds of aluminum cans to earn the Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland Council second place in a national recycling challenge, which also recognized two Girl Scout troops from Hutchinson for their outstanding recycling efforts.
